- Turkish agricultural products producer prices rose by 12.07 percent in the first 4 months of the year, according to the Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products (Agriculture PPI) data released by Turkstat on Thursday.

"Food prices remain as the main risk factor for the inflation forecast" the Turkish Central Bank stated in a recent report on the economic outlook, adding that food inflation was expected to remain high in the short term according to the baseline scenario, food prices were likely to see a notable correction upon the introduction of new-season products in the summer months.

Agriculture PPI increased by 1.06 percent in April on monthly basis, and by 11.87 percent on monthly basis, while the twelve months moving averages basis by 11.22 percent.

Agriculture and hunting products rose by 0.77 percent, forestry products rose by 0.05 percent and fishing rose by 14.03 percent on monthly basis.

The vegetable prices from sub - agriculture groups fell by 5.15 percent and oleaginous fruits by 0.65 percent, while fibre plants prnices rose by 1.02 percent, citrus fruits by 3.45 percent.
