- In southeastern port town of Mersin, assailant or assailants opened fire over an armoured police car affiliated to anti-terror branches while it was patrolling in a wasteland in Toroslar district’s Mimar Sinan Boulevard.
The police fired back after the armed attack, which have hit three bullets on the car and burst the tire, while the attacker vanished. An unexploded hand grenade and the gun used and left at the scene were found after the examinations.
Lots of police teams were deployed to the scene. Security measures in the region were boosted while an extensive investigation was launched to find the attackers.
