– A 71-years-old English tourist weighing 250 kg, who has died after a hard attack during his trip in resort province of Marmaris, was sent back to his country in a custom-made coffin.
Dennis Edward has had a heart attack on July 4, while having his vacation in the İçmeler Village of Marmaris, and health officers had not been able to bring him back to life. The tourist’s 250-kilos-weighing dead body was brought to the Antalya Forensic Medicine’s morgue for autopsy.
A special coffin in 2,20 meters length, 85 centimetres width and 65 centimetres height had been made for Edward’s corpse, the Funeral Services Association board chairman Murat Arslanoğlu explained.
After having been put in a special cloth, the body was placed on the funeral coach by means of a forklift, and was sent back to England on a plane.
