Ferit Aslan - Ahmet Ün / Diyarbakır, Sep 8 (DHA)- Peoples Democratic Party (HDP) Co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş told reporters that the government has been dragging soldiers, young people to “fields of death” in Turkey’s southeast in order to make the government come to power and slammed the statements of authorities encouraging martyrdom, supporting allegations that these names’ sons had paid fee to avoid military service.

Demirtaş reminded the Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yılmaz’s statement and said, “He has declared his wish to achieve martyrdom. Let the former Energy Minister mount guard for one night in Dağlıca. It’s easy to invent out of whole cloth. Do people have to die for the sake of your chair?”

“These disgraceful policies don’t play upon people anymore. Our people want to live in peace freely, is this difficult to understand? You say you want to sacrifice your own sons. But your sons have all paid military service” said Demirtaş.

Demirtaş, who has cancelled overseas visit following the terror attack leaving 16 soldiers killed in Dağlıca, also addressed the curfew in Cizre and defended that deaths were a common wound for the people of Turkey, that his party HDP has never made a distinction between corps.

Having declared Kurds demanded peace along with the Turkey society, the HDP co-chair told, “Buildings of our party- en route for peace- have been set on fire, vandalized accompanied by the police, and the government promotes these attacks. Children are being killed in Cizre and you don’t allow the corpses to be buried. The government will have to pick up the political cost of doing sums of votes by blaming and attempting to lynch the HDP.
