First Combat Drone On Strategic İncirlik Air Base

United States Ministry of Defense Pentagon spokesman Captain Jeff Davis has made a statement on Aug 5 to announce that the combat drone has taken off the İncirlik Airbase towards Syria for mission against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants.

Turkish cabinet had approved the opening of air bases to US-led coalition, and cleared the way for combat drones’ descend over key air base İncirlik. The 480. Aircraft fleet is expected to land over İncirlik in the forthcoming days. On August 5, only cargo aircrafts were witnessed in the air, at İncirlik zone in Adana province of Turkey.
