- International Monetary Fund (IMF) downgraded its outlook for the US economy to 2.5 percent, said in a statement released by the Fund on Friday.
"In its annual assessment of the U.S. economy the IMF downgraded its outlook for the U.S. economy to 2.5 percent based on a disappointing first quarter. However, the IMF emphasized that the outlook for the rest of the year remains bright" said in the statement.
IMF also said in another statement that it was keen to hear the views of the Greek government on the joint proposal that the European Commission, the European Central Bank and the IMF put together as a next step for the financial program.
