- Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdoğan answered reporters’ questions in Istanbul, following Friday prayer on July 24.
“We had a phone call with Obama as well, in which we have confirmed our determination to fight against the DAESH (Arabic name initials for ISIL) along with the separatist terrorist organization. The DAESH is a terror organization, we declared and Turkey maintains its sensitivity against this sort of a terror organization. Last night, the first step had been taken. The process has been launched, with operations targeting around 300 different zones in 16 province of our country. Following this process, of course many suspect had been detained. Accordingly, this is not an operation restrained to last night, and the process will be maintained with determination” said Erdoğan.
