– Turkish fighter jets launched an intense air operation against outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party targets in Northern Iraq between 23.00 p.m. and 05.00 a.m. on Sep. 7-8.

Within the dawn operation, some 35 F-16 and 18 F-4 aircrafts having departed from southeastern province of Diyarbakır dropped 130 bombs over 20 targets, following the deadly terror attack in Dağlıca region of southeastern Hakkari, leaving 16 military officers killed according to PM Davutoğlu’s recent statement.

According to initial reports, 40 PKK militants were killed, while PKK’s Kandil, Hakurk, Avaşin, Metina, Basyan, Gare and Zap camps were bombed within the major operation.
