Recently, a military convoy consisting of 49 vehicles headed to sotheastern province of Mardin from Diyarbakır.

The last incidents, including the suspected ISIL-led Suruç massacre in Şanlıurfa killing 32 young activists, have alarmed the TSK (Turkish Armed Forces). A number of reinforcing units, armoured vehicles have been shipped to the border region under the control of police escorts.

Armoured vehicles, including an armoured vehicle carrying staff known as ‘Kirpi’, drew attention in the convoy, according to local reports. The military convoy heading to Mardin with a police convoy will be deployed to Syrian border and the region, said officials.
