– In northwestern province of Edirne bordering Bulgaria, residents of Tatarlar Village have organised a “stand guard team” against hogs, to prevent their damage to products in sunflower fields.

The standguard team is responsible of firing gun into air to frighten the hogs or shoot them, guarding the field with shotguns in their hands.

The number of hogs flocking to the sunflower fields has risen after the forest fire that has sparked in the region four years ago, encouraging the elderly "heros" to take up arms.
