- Borusan Mannesman, which is the only U.S.-based pipeline operator with active production in Turkey, said it has won a 152 million-dollar tender for a 321-km-long pipeline project in Pennsylvania.
The company said by a written statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) the pipes for the U.S. project will be produced at facilities in the Turkish district of Gemlik.
The production will begin in the last quarter of 2015, it siad. “We plan to complete the delivery of the pipes in 2016.”
The project is the third-largest project won by the company in the last six months after a pipe tender for the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Project (TANAP) and another in Texas, the company said.
“Regarding the volume, the project we announced today will be the largest” it added.
