– Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdoğan will hold a daily visit to Moscow on Wednesday Sep. 23, according to Presidency sources.

Erdoğan is set to hold the opening ceremony of Moscow Central Mosque within his visit to Russia and then have a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Turkey’s President and Putin are expected to address debates over Russia’s increasing military build-up in neighboring Syria to boost the support of Syrian government, raising concerns in Ankara.

Syria is not the sole issue on the leaders’ agenda, with a pipeline project being another hot matter, along with regional debates.

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has expressed concern over Russia’s increasing military build-up in neighboring Syria, calling it “very dangerous,” and noting the issue will be on the agenda for Erdoğan in Moscow”.

Davutoğlu has also urged “They have taken [it] into the field. This is very dangerous. Therefore, we watch with deep concern” the prime minister said in a televised interview late Sept. 21.

Following the meeting, the two leaders are expected to continue exchange of opinions, at a diplomacy dinner.

Erdoğan is also set hold a one-to-one meeting with President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, told Presidency sources.
