– HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Istanbul deputy Pervin Buldan said, “I would like to utter that Mr President’s statement is an incorrect declaration” referring to President Tayyip Erdogan’s speech announcing that he does not recognize the term “Dolmabahçe Agreement”.
Having spoken at the HDP-led protests of "Freedom for Öcalan", HDP’s Buldan said, “The ten items - having been declared and reached under a mutual agreement - is an agreement that involves the future, peace, brothership, equality and freedom of the Republic of Turkey.
“However even if Mr President has been informed about the agreement since the begining, with his statement made in the Eid-al-Fitr morning, he has insulted this agreement in particular and 6 million people who had voted for HDP in the general election” added Buldan.
“Dolmabahçe Agreement” is regarded a key document consisting of a 10-item list outlining priorities for the resolution of the Kurdish peace process, and the agreement had been announced on February 28 in Istanbul’s Dolmabahçe Palace.
