- In southern resort town of Antalya, the heat is expected to hit the record level of the year, on Aug 3. Shade temperature will reach 39 degrees, while the apparent temperature will be at 60 degrees.
The Meteorology Regional Diretorate of Antalya warned that a risky heat level will strike the region.
Over the warning of the meteorology, the touristic facilities in the region took measures to pull through the scorching heat.
Tourists in the region and locals of the town are expected to flock to beaches and aqua parks in Antalya, one of the prominent attraction points of foreign tourists visiting Turkey. People hitting the Konyaaltı and Lara beaches have grown beginning from the early hours of the day.
Experts warned about the risks of high humidity particularly over people with respiratory diseases, chronically lung diseases, asthma and bronchitis.
