- Turkey’s PM Ahmet Davutoğlu has announced that, the sixteen Turkish workers who had been kidnapped by armed militants in Iraq four weeks ago were recently released, through his Twitter account on Sept. 30.
Davutoğlu added that the released construction workers were currently with the embassy officials and their medical status were in good state.
The sixteen workers were captured at a stadium on the outskirts of Baghdad, while working in the construction, on Sept. 2.
