Local Quits Smoking, Make Apiculture Business With The Saved Money

- In Aegean province of Manisa, a local called Mehmet Cesur has quit smoking and purchased around 30 beehives with the money he has saved, launching his organic apiculture business in the Sarıgöl meadows.

The 45-year-old local has decided to quit smoking four years ago and has bought the beehives last year, while he completed a bee keeping training programme and achieved to receive professional certificate.

Cesur told he has been interested in honey production since his childhood and he has achieved to sell one kg of honey for 60 liras, recently.

“A person smoking two packs per day pays 14 liras, and this number reaches around 5,000 liras in a year. As you see, a person can invest and found own business by quitting smoking” told Cesur, appearing to be proud of his enterprise, health and money at the same time.
