Mardin Assyrian Union Association Banned For "union"

- A court of general sessions in Turkey banned an Assyrian association, due to "union" in its name and "co-chair"

- A court of general sessions in Turkey banned an Assyrian association, due to "union" in its name and "co-chair" for the leadership, in southeast province of Mardin.

Mardin 2nd Court of General Sessions decided to ban the Mardin Assyrian Union Association, stating that "union" should not be used in the name of an association. The court also stated that an assciation's president should be one person, not "co-chair" as the association uses it for two leaders, a woman and a man.

The court previously banned another association, Anatolian Arab Union Movement Association, for the same reasons.
