Share Of High-Tech Products In Total Output Falls To 2.7 Pct.

- Share of high-technology products in Turkey's total output to 2.7 percent in 2013, from 3.0 percent in 2012, according to the data released by Turkstat on Monday.

Low and medium-low technology products stood at 73.6 percent and and medium-high technology products at 23.7 percent of total sold production, in 2013.

Number of high-tech based enterprises stood at 0.3 percent, in all companies in Turkey, producing 3.8 percent of total value-added in factor costs with 1.9 percent of employment.

Turkey's manufacturing sector worked at low-technology level with a great majority at
60.8 percent, with 53.8 percent of total employment and 39.1 percent of value added at factor cost in manufacturing Industry enterprises was in low techology level.

Number of medium-low technology based enterprises stood at 30.0 percent of the total, with a 26.7 percent share in employment and 30.7 percent share in value-added in factor costs.

Turkey's medium-high technology based companies formed a total 8.9 percent of total enterprises, with employing 17.6 percent of total employees, producing 26.4 percent of total value-added in factor costs.
