– Syrian migrants having fled the civil war in Syria and entered Turkey has been crossing back to Syria through the Öncüpınar border gate in Turkey’s southeastern province of Kilis, to exchange greeting with their relatives left behind their towns.
The Öncüpınar border gate has been closed to entries since March.
Migrants, mostly struggling to survive in refugee camps in the region with their intermediary identification cards provided by Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, flocked to the border line with their passports and managed to pass into their country after necessary procedures.
Around 5,000 Syrian migrants have entered back to their country so far, while the crowds will be allowed to stay in Syria only until the end of the feast of sacrifice.
Security measures were recently boosted, as a new flock appeared at Turkey-Syria border.
