Yusuf Demir / Antalya, Sep 7 (DHA)- The 22nd International Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival in Antalya will host “The Firebird / The Rite of Spring” ballet show performed by Antalya-Mersin-İzmir State Opera and Ballet group, on Sep. 8.
The festival to be held from Sept. 5-24, will mark the ancient Aspendos theatre with Igor Fyodorovich Stravinsky’s “The Firebird” (L'Oiseau de Feu) with choreography by Volkan Ersoy and Armağan Davran, and Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring” (La Sacre du printemps) choreographed by Mehmet Balkan.
The shows will dazzle ballet enthusiasts with their fabulous narrative, colourful costumes and scenery.
Following the show, the festival will host Ankara State Opera and Ballet with “Hamlet” on Sep. 11, and “Ali Baba & 40” opera on Sep. 16.
On Sep. 20, Korea National Opera will perform "Soul Mate”, accompanied by Antalya State Opera and Ballet .
The festival will end with the concert of “Türksoy Opera and Ballet Stars” on Sep. 23-24.
