- Turkey's one of leading car makers Tofaş approved a joint mini commercial vehicle project with FCA Italy, according to the statement released by the company on Monday.
"Board of Directors has approved the mini cargo light commercial vehicle face lift project, with participation of TOFAS and FCA Italy. Start of production will take place in the first quarter of 2016 in Tofaş plant in Bursa, with a planned investment estimated at the amount of 70 million dollars including homologation" the company said in the statement, delivered to the Public Disclosure Platform.
The project would run between the years of 2016 and 2021, with a planned production of 260,000 vehicles in total, a considerable portion of such to be exported, Tofaş said.
